Golden Nuggets From G-d’s Word

Rabbi has 90 second spots broadcasted on Kingdom 91.5 FM. These spots are called Golden Nuggets From G-d’s Word. Below are a few such Nuggets

A Lion’s Roar

In the natural, a lion roars for three reasons. He roars to protect his pride. He roars to stake out his territory, and he roars to warn others to stay away. The scriptures tell us that Yeshua is the Lion of the Tribe of Judah. As a lion, He roars to protect those who are His. He roars to identify His territory, and He roars to warn the adversary to stay away.
In 1 Peter 5:8 we read that that the devil goes around roaring like a lion too, seeking whom he can devour. He wants to steal, kill and destroy those who belong to the Lion of Judah, but he can’t do that that if we stay close Him and follow G-d’s commandments. Our G-d is a ROARING Lion, defining His territory, giving a warning to the adversary and protecting His own.
Are you under His protection, or are you out on your own, doing it your way?

Why Jacob Was Named Israel.

In Genesis 32, Jacob is wrestling with G-d when G-d changes his name to Israel. I often wondered, if G-d said, “From now on, you will no longer be called Jacob. You will be called Israel”, why does the next verse along with dozens of other verses continue to call him Jacob? The name Jacob means supplanter; a displacer; one who deposes another. It is a name that does not have authority, but rather has a suggestion of undermining or of weakness. If we read with a critical eye, we will notice that when the name Jacob is used, he is being represented in a lesser degree of authority than when he is called Israel. As Israel, in G-d’s view, he is representing a much higher degree of authority, an authority of strength because Israel means “He struggled with G-d and prevailed.” So the name Jacob represents weakness, and the name Israel represents strength. Man Woman Fire

The two Hebrew words for man and woman are similar. Esh means man (long e sound), and E’shah means woman (long e sound). Yah is the abbreviated name for G-d. The two letters that make up the name Yah are included in Esh and E’shah. That’s because G-d made man and woman in His image. He placed a part of Himself into each of them and said the two shall become one. Now, if you take the letters of G-d out of these two words, Esh and E’shah, they will both spell Aish (long a sound). Aish means Fire. If you remove G-d from the husband or the wife you are going to start a fire. A husband or wife who does not have G-d in his or her life will have fire in their marriage. Are We Under the Law or Not?

Yeshua was the Word of G-d that became flesh. He embodied all of G-d’s commandments, laws and teachings. Yet some teachers and pastors teach that following G-d’s commandments and laws are no longer required. They teach that G-d’s laws were abolished by Jesus, and many espouse that they are no longer under the law. John Chapter 1 explains that Yeshua was the Word of G-d that became flesh. So if Yeshua is the Word of G-d, then how can the Word of G-d change Himself? Wasn’t it G-d who said that He changes not? Wasn’t it G-d who said, “I am the same yesterday, today and forever.”? He was the commandments in the flesh. Yeshua said.
“If you love Me, you will follow My commandments. 1 John 5:3. For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments; and His commandments are not heavy. Jesus didn’t do away with the laws of G-d. He made ineffective the laws of men… those are the laws we are not under.

The Messiah That Is Coming

There is a old Yiddish proverb that says… “The Messiah you are waiting for will not come; the Messiah that is coming you will not recognize.”
John Chapter 1 tells us that everything that was made was made through The Word of G-d. Then it says that the Word became flesh, and that flesh dwelt among us. The Jewish people know that when the Messiah comes He must follow G-d’s commandments completely. They cannot follow after someone who doesn’t follow G-d’s Word. Yeshua said in Matthew 5:17 “Don’t think that I have come to abolish the Torah or the Prophets. I have not come to abolish them but to do them. Yeshua the Messiah cannot change G-d’s word, He must follow it. Yeshua also said in John 14:15 “If you love Me you will follow My commandments.” Yeshua did not change G-d’s commandments. Yeshua did not change the Torah.
